I used moody tones, charming textures, and attention to detail to bring Season of Slaughter to life. A murder-mystery board game with kooky characters and and endless storylines to explore- adapted to any (and every) time of year. What's not to adore?
When illustrating the game board, I tried to add elements that could be used in the storytelling aspect of the game. For example- maybe the killer's motive was the roped off chest, and maybe their weapon was a broken wine glass.
To increase playability, I featured every season in the game somehow- between themed rooms, punny names, and apt character descriptions to match. Why leave all the spooky scary fun for October?
