Graphic novels and comics are wonderful vehicles for information, ideas, and entertainment. They can be an interesting way to bring things like history and social issues to life.
I felt that the story of Jane Addams and the Hull House has been underrepresented, and that the perfect way to spread awareness was by making my own graphic novel. I illustrated some of the most noteworthy moments of her life: her graduation from Rockford Seminary, her moving to Chicago, renovating the Hull House, and her love life.
